Opening Day Recap

It's the time of the year that we've all been waiting for, the start of the ski and snowboard season in Whistler has finally arrived. Whistler Blackcomb has been working very hard to ready the resort in time for American Thanksgiving. The snow guns have been blasting, the patrol have been brushing up, and the lifts have started to run. All and all, it was full of the usual magic of Opening Day. To give you an idea of what the start of the season looked like, here is an Opening Day recap!

Fairmont_Opening_Day
The sun was shining and the corduroy was perfect thanks to the efforts of Whistler Blackcomb.
Peak2Peak_Opening_Day
Both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains opened this year. Generally, only Whistler Mountain opens this early in the season. It was very exciting to get to ride the Peak 2 Peak in November!

The stoke level was high. Many skiers and snowboarders who had waited since last winter to enjoy the snow were out to start the season off right!

The visibility was unlimited and the views were spectacular, adding to the spender of Opening Day on Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains!

While there was limited terrain available, it was still really fun skiing and snowboarding. Not to mention, very beautiful!

Dressed for the weather, revellers enjoyed the spectacular sunshine and the snow. Overall, a wonderful start to the 19/20 winter season!
