Whistler Bears viewing in the Whistler Olympic Park 

Whistler Bear Viewing is a one-of-a-kind 2 to 3 hour off-road jeep adventure within the Whistler Olympic Park. Explore the vast network of former Olympic ski trails in the comfort of one of our three 4×4 vehicles, as we search for bears foraging for their food.  With some of the most spectacular back-country scenery in the area, there’s never a dull moment. Experience the park like it’s your own private oasis, as we enter long before the gate opens and closes to the public. Drive to the top of the world famous Olympic Ski Jumps and brave the gatehouse for a gold-medal glimpse of a one-of-a-kind panoramic mountain and valley view.

Whistler Bear Viewing offers 5 highly educated and well-trained photographers, ecologists or adventure guides who will keep you informed and entertained. SPRING GREENS BEAR VIEWING SAFARI
This 2 hour excursion explores one of the most important spring feeding grounds for our local bear population. The Clover and sedge grasses are lower in the valley at this time of year and we often have bears walk up  close to vehicles, , magical moments begin which you will never forget, ensured by safe photography opportunities. During your tour you will be both on and off road in a reliable 4 x 4 vehicle. Daily Bear viewing photo tours include pick up at your location in Whistler. This time of year we guarantee you’ll see a bear or, space allowing, your next trip is on us!

SUMMER GRUBS & BUDDING BERRIES BEAR SAFARI 
The Whistler bears are on the move at this warm time of the year. Early vegetation is starting to lose its nutritional content and the berries are just beginning to ripen. This is the time when we find bears flipping over rocks and tearing into trees in search of protein from ants, insects and larvae. Also, love is in the air as mating season begins. Don’t be surprised to find displays of dominance and courting couples. This 2 hour excursion starts down in the valley and takes us off road and into the alpine as we follow bear sign to find them foraging for new sources of food.

FALL FRUITS BEAR SAFARI
With winter just around the corner, hyperphasia is setting in and its time to fatten up for winter time. Our bears do not have the luxury of a fall salmon run so they are in perpetual search of berries. We will spend 2 hours exploring their favourite berry patches and locating some winter dens.  Bears forage for up to 18 hours a day over a large territory and our guides have the best chance of putting you in the right place at the right time. This is a beautiful time of year in the back country replete with opportunities to photograph unforgettable alpine scenery.
