The Whistler Bobsleigh Summer Program at the Whistler Sliding Centre is an unforgettable experience. The Sliding Centre is home to the fastest ice track in the world, and you have a chance to experience it for yourself! Feel the thrill first-hand of sliding down the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games bobsleigh, luge and skeleton tracks. Visitors are welcome to tour the state-of-the-art facility or experience the action first-hand with a trained pilot in passenger bobsleigh. The experience of rushing down a 1,450 meter-long track is one for your bucket list!
Whistler Bobsleigh Summer, affectionally known as "Rolling Thunder" runs rain or shine, so be sure to book the Whistler Bobsleigh in advance.
Advance booking is recommended, full payment is required at the time of booking. Whistler Bobsleigh Summer program runs from June 27th to August 31, 2025.
Passenger Bobsleigh
Experience the thrill of the 2010 Winter Olympic Bobsled & Skeleton track for yourself! No experience required! The Whistler Sliding Centre is the only place in Canada where public can try bobsleigh and slide like an Olympian. Event runs rain, snow or shine!

- Duration: 90 minutes
- Departures: 7 Days a week (2-4:30PM)
- Season: December 6, 2024 to April 6, 2025
- Ability Level: No experience required
- Minimum Age: 14yrs (must slide w/ guardian)
- Not for people with neck/back issues
- All equipment & professional driver included

Discover Bobsleigh Driving Experience
Drive your OWN Bobsled! Join us at the Whistler Sliding Centre for this BRAND NEW 2.5-hour introduction to Bobsleigh, where a bobsleigh coach will take you through the core skills and techniques needed to pilot your own sled. After a brief orientation and track walk, you will be teamed up with a partner and a training sled. With guidance from the coach, you and your partner will take your first runs on the track. Starting at Curve 3 (3/4 of the way up the track), you will pilot your sled through the final thirteen curves.

- Departures: 1PM on select dates
- Season: March 17 & 24, April 1 & 4
- Ability Level: No experience required

- You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to your booked activity time to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booked activity time as well as no-shows are subject to a 100% charge.Â
- In the event that a session is cancelled participants will have the choice of a full refund or re-scheduling.
