Your Guide to the Whistler Farmers Market

Local vendors of all kinds pour into the upper village with their individual offerings every Sunday and most Wednesdays all summer long. Stock up on locally grown fresh produce at a great price. Artisan bread and other baked goods will capture you by scent and pull you in. Homemade candies, jams and other delicious treats are fully accounted for at the Whistler Farmers Market. Food isn’t the only thing you’ll see here; there are also lots of activities for the kids and a great selection of handcrafted goods as well. The local art and music creates a wonderful atmosphere for all to enjoy. All ages will be sure to find something to marvel over and maybe even take home! There isn’t much you won’t find on your stroll through the farmers market, so you’ll have to come check it out for yourself! We’ve asked some Whistler locals what their favorite farmer market finds are and any tips they may have for first timers.

It’s a great way to support local business, stock up on your fresh produce for the week, treat yourself to lunch and still be able to enjoy some sunshine all at the same time. – Nicole

Go early if you are planning on buying fresh produce, as it’s pretty popular and can sell out fast! – Ina

The “local” vibe is my favorite thing. People from the city or tourists can come up and experience what we have to offer in around Whistler! I love doing my grocery shopping there! The kettle corn is the most delicious ever, and the pocket pies! The local artists and most importantly the local music are the best thing to experience on a Sunday! - JennaMae

The 2015 Whistler Farmers Market will run on Sundays from May 31 to October 11 from 11am to 4pm weekly. Additional Wednesday markets will run July 1 to August 26 from 3pm to 7pm. Grab your grocery list and see what you can get locally, or go with a hungry tummy and indulge in some delicious treats! However you go about visiting the farmers market be sure to admire all the handcrafted goods and homegrown produce. Let you senses take over as you sample and smell all that the market has to offer.
