To help you start saving, we've rounded up free and fun winter activities ready to take advantage of!

Strolling through the Village

Take in the smells, sights, and sounds of Whistler while walking all the village stroll. In your travels, you'll see entertainment, Olympic legacies, and art!

Brandywine Falls

Just south of Whistler is a waterfall of epic proportion. Brandywine Falls is 66m of sheer beauty. The hike is short and worth every minute of it. 

The Train Wreck Hike

Deep in the Whistler forest lies the remnants of a train wreck dating back to the 1960's. To see the colorful cars, hike a trail that leaves from Cheakamus. Snowshoes or proper footwear is required depending on the conditions. 

Family Apres At The Olympic Plaza

Looking for a free, kid-friendly, and fun event? Family Apres is held in Whistler Olympic Plaza each Monday and Wednesday through winter. It features music, games, and entertainment for the whole family.

Snowball Fights

There's an abundance of snow just asking to made into a snowball!

Whistler Museum

Whistler has an exciting and colorful history. Join a local guide as they walk you through the stories of how Whistler came to be and how it has grown into a world-class resort. Tours run daily at 1:00 pm, leaving from the Visitor Information Centre and donations are welcome. 

Fire And Ice Show

Every Sunday night during winter, head down to the Skier's Plaza at the base of Whistler to see a spectacular display of ski and snowboard skills!

Tour The Whistler Sliding Centre

Explore an Olympic legacy while learning about the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic games. Grab a map, stand on the Olympic podium, take a photo in an Olympic sled and walk around Thunderbird Corner to the finish dock. There is no entrance fee during non-event times to access the Whistler Sliding Centre.

Skating At The Olympic Plaza

Skating at Whistler Olympic Plaza admission is free-of-charge all season, and skate rentals are only $5. Strollers are welcome and helmets are available to rent free-of-charge as well.
