Pangea Pod Hotel
The Pangea Pod Hotel brings to Whistler an innovative and inexpensive alternative to traditional hotel offerings. This designer property is perfectly geared toward satisfying the desires of the modern independent traveller, with living and social spaces that encourage guests to enjoy and exchange experiences. Pangea is extremely well-located in the main pedestrian-only area of Whistler Village, with the Whistler and Blackcomb Gondolas just a couple of minutes’ stroll away and the buzz of Whistler Village on your doorstep.
Pangea Pod Hotel's private pods are organized into “suites” – clusters of anywhere from 6 to 18 pods that are accessible only to those guests staying in them. There’s also a female-only suite for women still getting comfortable with the idea of travelling solo and staying in shared accommodation. Each pod offers privacy in the form of a blackout curtain as well as an array of conveniences, including a small lockable box for your valuables. Each suite also offers individually-accessed shower rooms, bathrooms and change rooms, meaning you’re unlikely ever to have to wait to get ready.
The Toy Box – Pangea’s custom-designed sports equipment storage area – is outfitted with lockers and secure ski, snowboard and bike racks; it’s here that you’ll gear up for the day’s adventures.
For socializing, a swanky bar/lounge/cafe aptly named The Living Room dominates the second floor of Pangea Pod Hotel and looks out over the Village Stroll. Here, you’ll find a cozy fireplace, long communal tables and Whistler’s best selection of board games. There’s also The Rooftop Patio, a little bar (and Whistler’s only rooftop bar) set high above everything with clear sightlines to the Village Square and the slopes beyond.

WHISTLER VILLAGE
Whistler Village is an award-winning, pedestrianized plethora of Shops, Boutiques, Restaurants, Wine Bars and Night Clubs, creatively intermingled with world-class Accommodations and Hotels. If you choose to stay within the Village, you can generally access the Ski Hill via the village strolls. Interconnecting walkways provide easy access from the Main Whistler Gondola through to Village North and Blackcomb Base. Most Accommodations provide secure underground parking at a nominal fee. Whistler Resort frequently holds Festivals and Celebrations throughout the year and the village can be very busy. For those guests expecting a quieter more relaxed atmosphere, yet still within easy access to the village facilities, we suggest you take preference to one of Whistler’s other popular locations. There is a 2nd Gondola (Excalibur) at the base of Whistler (next door to the Main Gondola) that provides easy access to Blackcomb Mountain. Excalibur is also used for visitors wanting to Après Ski in the Village and access their Ski in/out accommodation higher on the Blackcomb Ski Slopes throughout the season.
Front-entry Pod
Our most common pod type is found on both our second and third floors. We call them “Front-entry” because you enter from the front. Duh. And while the entrance to our Front-entry pods is smaller than that of our Side-entry ones, making them narrower but longer, the benefit is that once you draw back your curtain you (and your head) are further from “the rest of the world”. From a pricing perspective, these are right in the middle – still very affordable, but just a little bit more than our Mezzanine pods because of their longer length and integrated storage. Side-entry Pod
You probably guessed this one. We don’t have many Side-entry pods, but the ones we do are all located on our third floor. They have the most spacious and gracious feel, and as such come at a slight premium to their Front-entry cousins. You’ll have to book early to be lucky enough to get one. Single or double available.
Mezzanine Pod
As the name implies, these are all found on our Mezzanine (i.e. “Loft”) level. Aside from needing to skip up a few additional steps to access them, the main difference between these and all our other pods is that their associated storage space for both your bag and your valuables is across from your pod, not within it.
