The perfect balance of peace and quiet without the sacrifice of a prime location is what makes Whistler Creekside Village wonderful. Creekside is fully stocked with all the necessities you need for any holiday in one convenient location. One great thing about Creekside is that nothing is too far way; there are a whole bunch of reasons why you should check it out on your next trip to Whistler, and here are a few of our favorite...
Summer or winter, these two lakes are gorgeous! Alpha Lake has it all. The valley trail will lead you right into the main beach that is set up with a beach volleyball court, a play park, a sandy beach and a dock. Lots of picnic tables are located in the grassy area. The grass also hosts a series of posts for setting up slacklines. Just around the corner Alpha Lake has tennis courts and a designated off leash dog park. No matter what age or time of year, Alpha Lake has something for everyone. Nita Lake, the smaller of the two, has a very private feel. The valley trail lines one side and boasts a beautiful walk as the lake emerges in and out of the treed banks. A small dock is located on Nita Lake primarily used for fishing and paddle boarding.
Speaking of Nita Lake, one place that we highly recommend staying in the Whistler Creekside area is at Nita Lake Lodge. The views from this place are incredible. A private dock right on the lake for guests is a nice touch and the quick walk-able commute to the Creekside Village or nearby lakes makes this place ideal. If you prefer to be right in the Whistler Creekside Village we recommend staying at Evolution, First Tracks Lodge or Legends. All the details of our Creekside recommendations can be found under Creekside Accommodations.
Creekside is the quieter of the two villages. It may be smaller in size, but not in convenience. Creekside hosts a grocery store, a gas station, coffee shops, gondola access to ski in/out of the village and your choice of restaurants. Things are spaced nicely in the Creekside Village so it never feels too hectic and the Village offers ample parking.
The Creekside Gondola runs through the winter offering a quick lift up to the goods on Whistler Mountain, and is now running in the summer/fall for biking! The gondola has been bike compatible since August 7th, 2015 and has made hitting the bike park easy as pie from the south end of town.
We love our Whistler Creekside Village and we know you’ll love it to! If you are seeking a vacation away from the bustling Whistler Village but still want to be a stones throw from the mountain without sacrificing amenities and convenience then Creekside may be the right choice for you!
