Your winter vacation begins the moment you start planning it and you may have a lot of questions during this process. Many of these questions need to be answered as soon as possible so you can commit to booking. We have gathered some of the more common winter in Whistler FAQ's from, when do I book to what type of accommodation is best for me, and decided to share them so you can make your trip planning easy right from the beginning!

When do I book?

There is not a best time to book but there is a number of benefits to booking your winter vacation, early, early booking offers put on by hotels that will save you money in the long run. Additionally, the winter months are very busy in Whistler and booking early can ensure the time frame you desire to travel in will be available. That being said, during the season, there are many last minute offers that can also be a great money-saving opportunities if you are unable to plan far in advance. 

What Pass is best?

Edge Card or Epic pass? How do you decide? Well Edge cards are exclusive to Canadian, Washington State and Oregon State residents. They offer discounted day passes on 1,3, 5 and 10 days and they are very convenient to use. An Epic Pass is through Vail Resorts Inc, and applies to a number of North American resorts that fall under Vail ownership. So if you plan on skiing or snowboarding a few resorts, this pass is a good choice.

What month should I travel to Whistler in?

Winter in Whistler typically runs from November through until April. The season is split up into early season, holidays, deep winter, mid-season and spring. Booking during a certain period of time depends on what type of winter experience you are looking for:

Early Season- Nov 24 - Dec 16, 2016

Holidays- Dec 17 - 31, 2016
