While other special dates on the calendar have greater historical, religious, national and cultural significance, Halloween remains the occasion upon which we Canadians have the most fun as a collective!
We don’t worry about being lonely, heartbroken, or alienated on Halloween, like we may feel on Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve. This is precisely why we love this holiday! It’s a chance to take on an alter ego and cut loose, especially in Whistler, where frightful fun is to be had for young and old.
Halloween in Whistler is kind of a big deal. It’s shoulder season, so many locals have time to put together epic costumes, decorate their homes and businesses and carve pumpkins. And by this time, Whistler’s seasonal employees have arrived, secured employment, found accommodations, and met a great crew with whom they will party with for the next six months.
Whether you’re visiting Whistler with your family or driving up from Vancouver with friends, or are a newcomer or long-time local, Whistler hosts a variety of ghoulish celebrations for all.
