Fun For Families In Whistler

It's easy to fall in love with Whistler. The village atmosphere, the ability to stroll from one activity to the next, the exciting food options, and of course, the mountain. All of these things make travelling to this wild place, an adventure of a lifetime. While the above can make a trip to Whistler for an adult, a wondrous occasion, what about kids, teenagers, and even toddlers? Family Après

Every Monday & Wednesday from January 6th to March 25th, 2020,  families can head over to Whistler Olympic Plaza for music, kid-friendly activities, and entertainment. While the kids play, parents can enjoy a warm beverage. The best part: this event is free!

Ice Skating at Olympic Plaza

There is something truly special and not to mention Canadian about ice skating outdoors. Under twinkling lights, listen to music and skate to your hearts content. Once you've had enough, take break and sip on warm hot chocolate. Then, get ready for round two! This fun for families activity features free admission with skate rentals costing $7. 

Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre

Whistler encompasses incredible First Nations culture. Explore its history and the Squamish and Lil’wat Nations with your children at the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. This stunning centre is located just a short walk from the village. Here, you will find daily tours, exhibitions, craft activities and so much more, perfect fun for families!

Tobogganing at Whistler Olympic Park

We can bet that part of the reason you decided to bring your family Whistler was to enjoy the snow! Travel south of Whistler to Whistler Olympic Park to slide down their designated tobogganing hills and experience the legacy left behind by the 2010 Olympic Games. In-between runs, play in the snow! Or switch it up and go for a snowshoe or even a cross country ski! There are chariots available to rent for toddlers and babies. 

Vallea Illumina

Stretch bedtime out a little longer and take a night walk underneath extraordinary amounts of  lights at Vallea Illumina. We can't speak more highly of this enchanting fun for families activity. 

And of course, Skiing!

Book your kids into a Kid's Camp or take to the slopes alongside them! There are many kid-friendly runs as well as areas including the Enchanted Tree Fort and Magic Castle.
