It used to be that this request was considered uncommon, but current times have seen a growing trend in menus offering something for everyone, especially veggie options. In Whistler, vegan and vegetarian foods not only grace menus but are the basis of many of the local restaurants. Raven’s Nest

Take a break from the slopes and visit Whistler Blackcomb’s first ever fully vegetarian restaurant. It’s also the first restaurant of its kind in a North American ski resort.

Green Mustache

Green Mustache’s menu is built around eating for optimum health. Its offerings are all organic, vegan, vegetarian and flavourful as well as nutritious. You may come for breakfast but find yourself back there for lunch too!

Must Try:

The Smoothie Bowl is your favorite smoothie blended with oats and topped with seeds, coconut flakes, goji berries and chia seeds. Go big and add honey!

Splitz Grill

Splitz is a burger joint but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have tasty vegetarian food. Located on Main Street, Splitz will fit in perfectly with a day spent exploring the village.

Must Try:

Spicy Lentil burger has abundant flavor in every bite! Add sautéed mushrooms, onions, and guacamole for a flavor overload!

BEST ON THE GO

Moguls Coffee Shop

A coffee shop right in the center of the village, Moguls has breakfast, lunch, and snacks with many of its menu items being vegetarian and vegan-friendly. If the environment is contributing factor in your dietary choice, rest assured, Moguls choose sustainable options and locally sourced food.

Must Try:

Vegan Muffin. It varies each day but we have yet to encounter one we didn’t like!

Mongolie Grill

Like getting creative with your meals? This veggie-friendly restaurant allows you to choose from a variety of fresh vegetables and sauce combinations to make the stir fry of your dreams!

Must Try: 

Pineapple. Trust us and just throw in a little pineapple!

Creekbread

Featuring natural pizza that is baked in a wood oven, Creekbread chooses local produce to top its organic dough. There are a number of vegetarian options and a delicious vegan option as well.

Must Try: 

Whistler Community Creekbread is made up of tomato sauce, caramelized organic onions, BC grown mushrooms, premium whole milk mozzarella and asiago cheese baked onto organic dough! TASTY!

BEST FINE DINING

Araxi

Araxi head chef has built the menu around local and sustainable ingredients which extend into its vegetarian option. With an 11, 000 bottle wine cellar, don't be surprised if you find a veggie-friendly wine to pair with your meal!

House Made Pasta + BC Mushrooms
