Whistler might have a high adrenaline reputation, but it has a softer side, too—one that is perfectly suited for the ultimate romantic getaway for a couple.
Of course, not all couples are created equal, and that’s why we’ve created these four romantic itineraries for all types of couples. Whether it’s your first vacation as a couple, a trip geared around popping the big question, or a 30th anniversary weekend in the mountains, we’ve got some dreamy ideas for you:

Extreme couples, you’re in luck: you’re in one of the most extreme places in the world!
Start by booking a hotel in the heart of Whistler Village: you’ll want to be close to pick up/drop off spots for the local excursions, plus you’ll want to be able to walk the mountains for snowy action.
Next, plan your activities. We have a feeling you’ll love bungee jumping, which can be done year-round (and tandem!). Heli-skiing is another good bet: there’s nothing like sharing a run down a pristine chute of powder together.
Cap off your night with some live entertainment at a local watering hole, like the Crystal Lounge, the FireRock Lounge, or the Dubh Linn Gate.
Book yourself a room at a luxury hotel in the Upper Village, like the Fairmont Chateau Whistler or the Four Seasons Whistler, and get ready to spoil yourselves silly.
First up: a day of blissful pampering at one of our local spas. Opt for a couple’s package to savour the experience together.
Post-spa treatment, come back down to earth together with a walk along the Village Stroll. Pop into the local art galleries and jewelry stores to pick out the perfect souvenir of your trip.
By now, you’ll likely have worked up at appetite—it’s time for a multicourse meal at one of Whistler’s world-renown restaurants. This is living.
You’re coming to Whistler to relax and reconnect, both with each other and with your surroundings. We suggest booking accommodations outside of Whistler Village—you need a little peace and quiet! Check out Nita Lake Lodge in Creekside: between the Fix Café, the Cure Lounge, and the delectable offerings at Aura, the in-house dining room, your gastronomical needs can be entirely accommodated on-site.
During the daytime, rent a pair of snowshoes and spend some time enjoying Whistler’s serene trails together. Once you’re nice and tired, cozy up with a good book and a hot beverage in front the hotel’s huge fireplace.
Consider booking a condo over a hotel—opposites attract couples typically like options, and condos offer tons of options in terms of location, size, and amenities.
Next, look for activities that offer something for everyone. A snowmobile-fondue tour is a perfect example: the adrenaline-lover can drive, while the not-so-adrenaline-lover can sit back and take in the views—and everyone will enjoy the fondue dinner at the top of the mountain.
Figure skating in the Whistler Olympic Plaza is another fun bet—it’s equally fun if it’s your first time on ice as it is if you’re a pro.
