There's no perfect time to be in Whistler- every part of the year is special and comes with its own special attributes. Fall is no different. In fact, autumn is known as Whistler's best kept secret. Why you ask? There's still so much to see and do plus, you still have longer days and reasonable weather. But many still look to book their Whistler holiday during the peak periods of winter and summer. Well, we're here to tell you exactly why autumn should be on your radar. Here are 10 things to do in Whistler this autumn season.

Hike

The Blackcomb Gondola and Peak 2 Peak are still open on certain weekdays and weekends, providing easy access to a number of alpine trails. Additionally, there are plenty of exciting hikes in the surrounding valley. Some of which include waterfalls and stunning views.

Vallea Lumina

New as of 2018 to the Whistler activity line-up, Vallea Lumina is a spectacular light show that takes place in the woods. Attendees will follow along as a magical journey unfolds. Vallea Lumina has recently extended their season which will now run right through winter.

Eat!

Fall is all about dining deals. A number of the local restaurants offer multi-course menus or special selections at a reduced cost. It is a wonderful way to enjoy some of Whistler's world class dining and save while you're at it.

Scandinave Spa

Take in the magical colors of fall from a relaxing hot tub. The Scandinave Spa features a serene atmosphere no matter what time of the year it is.

Ziptrek

Soar through the tree tops seeing the bright hues of autumn and the descending snow line all at once with a Ziptrek adventure. What's more, this fun activity also boasts a reasonable adrenaline rush.

Mountain Bike

The autumn season is well known for it's amazing mountain biking. The trails are tacky and the weather is perfect for getting your sweat on. The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is open until October 15th but the surrounding trails are just as good and free to ride until the snow covers them.
