Whistler Glacier Ascent

On the Glacier Ascent Tour, your guide will lead you across glacial snow and ice into the Whistler Bowl. You will be led on a short roped mountaineering ascent of the alpine blow – just as the world’s great peaks were traditionally climbed.
- Enjoy the stunning alpine vistas and world-class photo opportunities before descending. This truly is a must-do mountain activity during your visit to Whistler.
- The adventures will cover up to 4 km (2.5 miles) of mountain terrain and up to 200 metres of glacier hiking and ascent.

Whistler Glacier Discovery

Whistler Glacier Glissading

Glacier Glissading is the thrill of sliding down glacier snow in the summer, combined with an interpretive hike of the 10,000+ year old Whistler Glacier. don’t just see the snow in summer; slide on it!
- Enjoy the stunning alpine vistas and world-class photo opportunities before descending. This truly is a must-do mountain activity during your visit to Whistler.
- Arriving atop a natural rise in the glacier, many glissading options exist on the same slope. Choose either a gentle glissade or a more adventurous slide down!
- Min Age: 8 years.

Important Information
- All guests must sign a release of liability waiver prior to participating in any activity. Guests who are 19 years and older sign their own waiver. Guests under the age of 19 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.
- Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late for an activity forfeit 100% of the tour price. Tours leave promptly; it is recommended to arrive 15 minutes early to sort out gear and sign waivers.
- Tours are presented in English. Other languages might be available upon request. At least one person in each group must be able to read, speak and translate into English to understand the waiver and directions
- We will need a of couple details to book a guest onto a tour: full name of each guest on tour, age, any medical conditions, previous experience (rock climbing, hiking).
- The weather in the alpine can change fast we recommend everyone to bring waterproof clothing.
It can get cold in the alpine. Bring some extra layers to stay warm. - If you have your own hiking boots…great! If not we have some you can borrow.
- It’s a great idea to bring sunglasses & sunscreen. The snow in the alpine makes everything but brighter!
- Bring a camera to capture this amazing adventure! If you have a GoPro we have helmets with mounts for you!
