Celebrated around the world, International Peace day is September 21, 2011. Join the celebrations in Whistler from September 20-24 including the Opening Ceremony at Whistler Olympic Plaza on September 20 at 7 p.m. The Whistler Children's Chorus will be singing, and there will be a candlelight circle to light the piece flame with honey candles available by donation. Admission is free.

Lil'wat Cultural Centre Wednesday Sep 21. 6:00 & 8:00 pm. Movie Night. Two screenings of the award-winning film The Day After Peace by Jeremy Gilley, interactive chants and drums by MJ and door prizes. Tickets at FRUV Freedomwear & SLCC. $13.

Lil'wat Cultural Centre Saturday Sep 24. 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. Metaphysical Market Day. Come get your Metaphysical! Community healers, acupuncture, massage, reiki, readings and more. $2 entry fee. Raffle draw@ 4:00 pm. Closing Ceremony.
