Whistler Golf Courses
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Chateau Whistler Golf Club has become internationally recognised as "mountain golf at it's finest". With an elevation gain of more than 400 feet, this par 72 course traverses mountain ledges, crosses rushing streams and has spectacular views of Whistler and its surrounding panoramic mountains. Golfers can enjoy Satelllite Caddys to assist in course strategy decisions and increase the pace of play. The Chateau Whistler Golf Club is fully equipped to handle large group functions and casual apres golf dining. The facility enjoys a gourmet restaurant, shower and changing facilities with lockers and a Golf pro shop. The club is the proud home of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. There is a full service 350 yard double ended practice and learning facility situated on site for the use of all clients. There is also a half way house serving hot and cold food and beverage.
This masterpiece golf course reflects the standards set by Jack Nicklaus himself. Nicklaus North is the only golf course in the world to which Jack was inspired to add his name. Host to many world televised events, come tread the blades that Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, Nick Faldo, Fred Couples to name a few which have all tested their skills against each other. The par 71 championship course and its 5 sets of tees give every golfer an ideal combination of challenge and enjoyment. Many of the greens are protected by the distinctive Nicklaus bunkers. The impressive 20,000 sq ft clubhouse, sits majestically on the shores of green lake and is home to an impressively stocked pro shop and a gourmet lakeside restaurant and lounge with huge patio. This Arnold Palmer designed championship resort course offers challenges to golfers of all abilities. Located on the spectacular Whistler valley floor and boasting a magnificent layout featuring nine lakes, two winding creeks and breathtaking views of the mountains. This par 71 gem, represents great value for money and is conveniently located in the centre of Whistler. The 5000 sq ft club house offers a sprawling restaurant and lounge with adjoining sunny patio. There is a pro shop stocked with the latest in high end golf attire and equipment. The half way hut serves hot and cold food and beverage. This par 72, 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves and built in 1993 offers panoramic ocean views and encounters with abundant wildlife. Checking In for Your Tee Times
Please be sure to check in at the Pro-shop at least 20 minutes before you're due on the first tee. Your golf itinerary will have been provided after time of booking. Don't forget to include travelling time in your plans - for the courses in Whistler resort (Fairmont Chateau GC, Nicklaus North GC, and Whistler GC); leave your accommodations at least 45 minutes prior to your start time. Golfers visiting Big Sky should leave Whistler at least 1 hour prior to tee-off.
Dress Code
All these championship courses subscribe to a "regular golf attire" dress code, i.e. shirts must have collars and sleeves (ladies tops to have sleeves or collars), shorts should be tailored and of moderate length, no t-shirts, jeans, cut-offs or tank tops are permitted.
Only soft spike shoes are permitted on these courses - no part of your spikes may be made of metal. Most courses can change your spikes, if necessary, or rent you a pair of golf shoes (be sure to arrive at least 1 hour prior to tee time if you need assistance with your shoes). Most courses will allow regular tennis-type shoes on the course, but its best to call the course ahead of time to check their footwear policies if you think your equipment may conflict with course policies.
Driving Ranges & Lessons
All local courses have practice facilities which you may use for a small fee at any time during your stay in Whistler. It's a good idea to call ahead to check range opening/closing times. All the courses offer a variety of lesson packages ... Call Whistler Reservations for details.
Cancellations/Changes/Tee Time Amendments
All cancellations and amendments are to be made through your original booking company - cancellations and amendments will not be accepted directly from the guest by the golf courses. Cancellations are accepted if received by the golf courses without penalty 72 hours prior to play. Cancellations received by the golf courses less than 72 hours prior to play are non-refundable unless otherwise authorized in writing by the golf course. Cancellations and/or tee time changes due to inclement weather conditions are only accepted at the discretion of golf course management only. If refunds are given there will be a $15 per head/per round admin fee for all cancellations.
In order to obtain a refund for un-played golf, the Tour Operator must receive IN WRITING confirmation from the golf course that there will be no charge for the round. It is the responsibility of the guest to obtain something in writing from the course, and the Operator takes no responsibility for issuing refunds not cancelled as per the procedures above.
For all group bookings (16 players or more), a 15% non-refundable deposit for the golf is due upon booking. Final numbers are due 30 days prior to first play date, at which time full payment is due and becomes non refundable.
For changes to booked tee-times for groups and individuals, Whistlerreservations.com will process one change per group at no charge (prior to 72 hours before tee-time). For additional changes, there will be a $25 fee per change.
