Whistler isn't just about adrenaline and the outdoors. Over the past few years, this little mountain town has cultivated some meals that are enough make a foodie go wild! From savoury pies to tasty treats, the village is full of unique food options that can be part of the Whistler experience. So after you have had a wild adventure on the mountain, take your taste buds for one of it's own with these Whistler foodie fixes!

Peaked Pies- Steak, Bacon and Cheese Pie

The brain child of an Australian and Canadian looking to recreate the delicious pies you can get back in Australia, this couple took things to the next level and created Peaked Pies. You can't go wrong with any of the pies, but the Steak, Bacon and Cheese is hearty goodness in a flakey crust. Make sure to get it peaked which is when it's topped with mashed potatoes, peas and loads of gravy!

Samari Sushi- Chicken Karate Wrap

With a location in Creekside and Nester's, Samari Sushi is a local favourite. Step outside the box and try the Chicken Karate Wrap- Rice, avocado, and fried chicken. Add spicy mayo to the wrap and your taste buds will thank you!

Green Moustache-Buddha Bowl

Does all the Whistler activity have you craving something healthy? This Smoothie and Live Food Bar uses 100% organic food. Started by a local looking to use plant based nutrition to heal the body, all of it's menu items are made with foods that contain the most nutrition possible. A favourite is the Buddha Bowl which is a colourful salad containing rice, quinoa, fresh veggies, nuts, seeds, sprouts, avocado and the taste bud bursting House Dressing! 

Creek Bread- Pemberton Potato Pie

Located in Creekside, Creekbread makes pizza that is natural, uses organic produce, free range chicken, and nitrate free meats. The Pemberton Potato Pie is a just one of the delicious pizzas you can get but it's unique combination of oven roasted potatoes, organic rosemary cream sauce, roasted garlic and various cheeses is too good to miss!

Golden Crust- Pocket Pie

Find these tasty pocket pies at the Whistler Farmer's Market on Sunday's and Wednesday's. So many flavour combinations to choose from and all in a pie that fit's in your hand. Cherry, strawberry rhubarb, blueberry and apple are just to name a few. The pocket size lessens the guilt if you buy two or three!

Zog's- Beaver Tail

A Beaver Tail is a fried dough pastry and is a purely Canadian treat. Your Beaver Tail comes piping hot and with toppings such as Nutella, M&M's or just good ol' brown sugar. Be prepared for an ooey, gooey, delicious, finger licking time!

La Cantina- Chicken Burrito

Not even close to your average burrito. First off, this chicken burrito is the size of a large plate. Covered in 3 different sauces, cheese and containing a delicious mixture than will fill you up. Save some room, the margaritas are a nice addition to your burrito experience.
