Whistler Tasting Tours

Explore Whistler's finest dining and wine in one enjoyable evening on a choice of two guided walkabout culinary tours. Discover four of Whistler's finest gourmet restaurants for a fantastic four-course menu paired with exceptional BC wines.  Your guide will enhance your experience with their local knowledge and enthusiasm for the first class dining scene in Whistler.

Tours run daily from 4pm-7pm.

The main difference between the two tours is the selected restaurants we visit.  Both tours begin at The Mallard Lounge in the Fairmont Chateau Whistler during apres-ski hours with hand tied Vancouver dim sum and your choice of a pint of Whistler Beer or the feature martini.  From there we shuttle down to the village where each of the next three restaurants features a creative dish paired with a 3oz glass of fine BC wine (standard glass is 5oz).  The final venue then serves dessert paired with 1oz of BC's famous icewine. Both tours have the same amount of food and wine and last about 3 hours.

The Privileged Palate Tour leaves the Mallard to visit Elements (voted best tapas in Whistler by local newspaper), Après (a fantastic French restaurant with one of the best chefs in the village who prepares a butternut squash ravioli that is outstanding), Quattro (this upscale fine Italian dining is always perfect in their preparation and presentation), and finishes at The Mountain Club (an extension of the wildly popular Ocean Club in Vancouver).

The Après-disiac Tour leaves the Mallard to visit Bearfoot Bistro (with Canada's best chef preparing the food, they will teach you how to saber champagne with a sword and one guest will get the chance to do it), Hy's Steakhouse (known as Canada's Premier steakhouse, they feature a Cajun spiced blackened Ahi Tuna that melts in the mouth), Kypriaki Norte (Kike's famous lamb is always a hit), and finishes at The FireRock Lounge in the Westin Hotel (really a hidden gem).

The price for the either tour is only $149 and includes all the food (definitely enough for your dinner), the wine, your guide, shuttle, some great prizes to make things fun, and a Perks card (if you liked any of the restaurants on tour you can return another night and receive a range of discounts or freebies - appetizers/desserts/wines).
